Just a small increase" it seems reasonable for such a big increase in MPs (% wise). But, they, and most politicians IMO, neglect to consider that business and taxpayers have to earn that money first before the state takes it away. I, like most Canadians, am happy to pay taxes. They provide law and order, good healthcare, social safety nets, scientific research, education and foreign aid. These things combine to create a safe and satisfactory society. What I do mind, (and I think the average politician fails to realize how MUCH I do mind), is wasting tax money. To them it is tax money, to me it is literally a smaller pay cheque and lower profits!
