Both countries thought the US would do a lot more then what the US in fact did. At some point you will realize once your countries usefulness is used up you will be abandoned with huge amounts of debt and nothing much to show for it other then maybe shiny new military equipment that doesn't work because it has to be constantly maintained. As to why world leaders vilify Putin, given the actions of Russia under Putin's leadership, it is not hard to understand. I am not sure what kind of 'democracy' Russians want; mostly they seem to want an all powerful Tsar. Now they have one. Best not disagree withim or you end up dead or on Kadyrov's list of 'enemies of the people' meaning you may soon be dead. No one in their right mind will give a negative answer to an opinion poll in Russia. My theory is that Putin's approval rating is given in Fahrenheit. Convert 89% approval from F to C and it comes out 32%. It is irrelevant anyhow. Putin is a dangerous man, with nuclear weapons. A liar, a murderer and a corrupt kleptocrat. Come and live in Ukraine before you start praising Putler as a "strong leader" to be emulated by the WestThe Blog Fodderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11441978691701289074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6399730406480392183.post-40347049195583447442016-01-23T08:35:49.248-04:002016-01-23T08:35:49.248-04:00I feel both the article and the comment above are ...I feel both the article and the comment above are fairly accurate in describing what is occurring in both countries. During my time in Russia I found the people marvelous and kind. Russia has not enjoyed the plentiful and easier path of America, but the people are tough and resilient. It should be noted that America has not found the perfect political solution to governing either which produces a polarizing situation. To say America has a flawed election process is an understatement.

Our election process often results in not putting the best qualified choice in a position to move on and the decision is placed in the hands of a few voters in early primaries that cast their ballots months before polls are even opened in a majority of states. Sadly, the people who have the least input are voters like you and me. Bottom-line, with its current system America will again find its election teetering on a few hundred votes in states such as Ohio or Florida. The article below explores America's flawed election process.

http://brucewilds.blogspot.com/2015/09/political-debates-highlight-flawed.htmlBruce Wildshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10181323607060607040noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6399730406480392183.post-77199416809947956632016-01-22T12:59:45.201-04:002016-01-22T12:59:45.201-04:00When you realize the "elected" officials...When you realize the "elected" officials in the US are hand picked bought and paid for puppets. It makes much more sense none of them come off as strong people because they aren't. Bush was a bumbling moron, Cheney ran that administration. Obama is a guy who can speak well and that is about it his clusterf*ck of nonsense saying one thing and doing another is incredible. How 40% of people still approve of him is insane. Then go back to slick Willie a generally likeable guy who again did what he was told Nafta repeal of glass steagle being highlights but lets not forget the pointless wars he involved us in as well. Im not old enough or care enough to research the older Bush or Reagan I was small when they were in office so I don't know the Shady things those two did. I do recall something about no new taxes and then new taxes anyway taking place. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
