What Canadians Need to Remember in October 2015

Brad Butt, Conservative MP for Mississauga - Streetsville, has become the "butt" (sorry, I couldn't resist the temptation) of Canadian's disgust with our so-called Parliamentarians for his recent misleading of the House of Commons during debate on the Harper government's amendment to democracy.

As a bit of background, Mr. Butt was first elected to House in May 2011.  From his website, we learn that he served as President and CEO of the Greater Toronto Apartment Association, a position that he held from May 1999 to May 2011 (so he should be very familiar with the mailboxes  and garbage cans located in the lobbies of apartment buildings!).  He was also a renowned television host and commentator on Rogers Television in Peel for more than 15 years.

Now, for your amusement, here is a video posted by SleepyRobAnders showing that Mr. Butt has had more than one memory problem on the same issue:

Note that he repeated the same personal "observation" twice, not just once.  It's always important to emphasize a key point in a debate by repeating that key point.

All of this is ours for a mere $160,200 annually.  Plus, of course, his expenses as shown here:

On the upside, at least if he gets defeated in the next election, he won't get a life-time pension, courtesy of Canadian taxpayers.

Let's hope that the voters of the "semi-urban" Mississauga - Streetsville riding remember this in October 2015.  Perhaps it would also be judicious for all Canadians to remember that Mr. Harper believes that Mr. Butt should be applauded for voluntarily admitting that he deliberately mislead Parliament with his personal "observations".  On the upside, perhaps this is setting a new standard where Steve will gives a pass to all Canadians for our misdeeds if we offer a simple apology.
