He was, of course, kidding. What this video shows is a young man, articulate, funny and bursting with confidence. He went from talking about his ass to ruling the world in one sentence. People who are intimidated by this are weak, frightened and ineffectual.
I love the father at the end saying he hopes not. Certainly even at 18 Ted showed he had ambition to become powerful and that was something on his mind.
