The ongoing release of emails
from John Podesta's computer continues with this one sent on February 17, 2016 by Neera Tanden, Hillary
Clinton's policy director for her 2008 run at the Oval Office, to Jake Sullivan, the top foreign policy advisor to the Clinton 2016 campaign:
Note that in the
highlighted section, Ms. Tanden suggests that Hillary Clinton take the
opportunity to publicly speak on how Washington had become corrupted by
"the monied" and how she would fix the problem. This idea
struck Ms. Tanden after she noted an article in the February 17, 2016 edition of USA Today which
stated that Bernie Sanders had closed the race for Democratic presidential
nominee to within 10 points after winning the New Hampshire primary by
double-digits. In the article, we also find this quote:
"But Tom Eberhardt, 32, who works for an insurance company
in Stevens Point, Wis., is leaning toward Sanders. "I like that he has
some new ideas that will potentially bring up changes in such a screwed-up
political system," he says. While he generally agrees with Clinton on
issues, "I'm not crazy about the fact that she's such an establishment
politician.""
As a bit of background
information for your illumination, Ms. Tanden is the current president of the Center for
American Progress (CAP), a liberal-leaning think tank, as shown here:
In yet another twist, the
Center for American Progress was founded by none other than John Podesta who
serves as a CAP Board Member as shown here:
Hillary Clinton fighting
political corruption in Washington. Given this:
....I expect that we'll
be seeing pigs fly first.
