The House of Representatives - America's Children at Play

At a yet another House Rules Committee Meeting that is attempting to repeal the Affordable Care Act, we got a prime example of the maturity of those that are elected to run the United States.  The exchange took place between Rep. Michael Burgess (R- Texas, 26th District), a physician, who has been in the House of Representatives since 2003 and Rep. Alcee Hastings (D - Florida, 20th District), a lawyer, who has been in the House of Representatives since 1992.

Thanks to the Daily Show with Jon Stewart (among others) for bringing this to America's attention.  Apparently, these gentlemen seem to have forgotten some of the basic life lessons that most children learned in elementary school.

All of this is ours for a mere $174,000 annually for each Representative plus retirement and health care benefits along with an annual allowance for expenses.
