Jim Flaherty, Stephen Harper and the Mike Duffy Problem

With the third phase of the Mike Duffy trial behind us and with the proceedings on hold until after the October federal election, I thought it would be interesting to post a video that captures what many Canadians think about the recent revelations that Stephen Harper's Prime Ministers Office insiders, including Ray Novak, had no idea that their boss, Nigel Wright, was paying for the Senator's expenses:

Unfortunately, since the late Jim Flaherty is unable to tell us what he was thinking while the Prime Minister was denying that Nigel Wright passed word of his "bribe" to Senator Duffy down the PMO food chain, we'll have to let Mr. Flaherty's facial expressions do the speaking for him.  With policy disagreements between Mr. Flaherty and Mr. Harper becoming public, one has to wonder what Mr. Flaherty really thought about the Duffy - Wright shenanigans in the PMO

Canadians are finding it increasingly difficult to swallow the "company line" that the insiders at the Prime Minister's Office spent very little time actually reading their emails, resulting in a widespread case of plausible deniability that seems to be pervasive, right to the topmost levels.

  1. This is the best clip I've seen. It continues to astound me that this party continues to track where it does in multiple election polls. After 9 or 10 years, we Canadians just can't see there is a very serious problem with this guy and this party.
