The World Economic Forum and Ukraine - Building a Digital Prison

The globalist ruling class as represented by the Davos crowd is at it again.  With the recent kerfuffle in Washington and Europe over the future of Ukraine, we can assure ourselves that the World Economic Forum will be there to pick up the pieces.

Here is an announcement from the WEF on the launching of a "GovTech" centre in Kiev, only the second in the world after the centre in Berlin:

...and more:

This centre will be "part of the World Economic Forum’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) Network and represents only the second centre globally with a focus on GovTech following the signing of the Global Government Technology Centre Berlin (GGTC Berlin) in January 2024.  Together with GGTC Berlin, GGTC Kyiv will connect national GovTech ecosystems with a global network of experts to promote more efficient, effective and accessible public services."

If you read down through the press release, you'll find this with my bolds:

"With technological advancements rapidly reshaping industries and societies globally, it is becoming increasingly imperative for nations to harness these innovations. In recent years, Ukraine has emerged as a global leader in GovTech and its experience can inform others in driving digital transformation within the public sector. Its Diia app with over 20 million users and the Diia platform integrate over 100 government services and tens of digital documents, ranging from digital ID cards and driver licences to business registration and social benefits, exemplifying the ways in which digital tools can simplify interactions between citizens and the state."

Or make it easier for the state to track and trace its citizens.

According to an article in Cities Today, Kiev's GovTech centre has now opened:

Here's a quote from the article:

"According to World Economic Forum Managing Director Mirek DuĊĦek, the centre in Ukraine will support WEF’s global efforts to unlock the potential of digital technologies to improve public services and create new opportunities. And it will serve as a catalyst for public-private collaboration, fostering digital technology and innovation at a critical time for Ukraine and Europe.

Key features of the centre will include:

GovTech Observatory: A platform tracking global and national GovTech trends, enabling knowledge sharing and data-driven policy through research, tools, and global partnerships.

Innovation Gateway: A hub for piloting and scaling technologies in Ukraine, showcasing innovation in AI, EdTech, Defence Tech, and more, with global investment support.

FutureGov Education: A training platform for public sector leaders to adopt cutting-edge technologies, fostering experimentation and global collaboration.

The powers that ought not to be will be selling us the concept of "unlocking the potential of digital technologies" to "improve public services and create new opportunities" rather nebulous ideas, don't you think?

In other words, this WEF initiative will be launching point for a digital identity, an essential part of the central bank digital currency ecosystem.  Ukraine will be desperate enough for the jobs that it will go along with this plan by the rulers.  It will be simpler for the technocracy to use Ukraine to implement their plans for a digital prison by taking advantage of a nation whose infrastructure and economy has been completely destroyed, giving them the ability to build a neofeudal state from the ground up.

Mark Carney - The Globalists' Globalist

In part one of this two part posting, we looked at Mark Carney - The Globalist Environmentalist.  In part two, we'll take a look at this influential individual and his connections to the global elite and how he most definitely is not "one of us" and has absolutely no understanding of what the unwashed masses face no matter what he may proclaim.   While you are reading this posting, you should know that Carney has announced that he was withdrawn from all of his corporate and organizational leadership positions because he is now all about becoming Canada's Prime Minister, however, should he lose the race to leadership, one still does have to wonder how long it will be before his name once again appears on the boards of these or other organizations.

1.) The World Economic Forum - The World Economic Forum, created and led by Klaus Schwab and architect of the Great Reset and the dystopian "It's 2030, I don't own anything and I'm happy" mantra, defines itself as follows:

"(The World Economic Forum) serves the needs of the international community by providing a platform for advancing systemic improvements in cooperation and governance through the engagement of multiple stakeholders, industries, technologies, regions and intellectual disciplines. The Forum’s vision and role are uniquely suited to these fast-moving and complex times, requiring agility, engagement and support from leading stakeholders from all walks of life, the creative application of interdisciplinary skill and a high-performance team."

Mark Carney was one of 31 members of the WEF's Board of Trustees as shown here:

...and here:

While he no longer appears as a member of WEF's Board of Trustees, he is still listed on the group's website as an "Agenda Contributor":

2.) The Group of Thirty (G30): G30 describes itself as follows:

"The Group of Thirty, established in 1978, is an independent global body comprised of economic and financial leaders from the public and private sectors and academia. It aims to deepen understanding of global economic and financial issues, and to explore the international repercussions of decisions taken in the public and private sectors. The Group is characterized by the extensive experience of its members and open-minded, forward thinking."

The Group has 31 members in addition to 8 senior members and 17 emeritus members who held leaderships positions in the public and private sectors as well as academia.  Currently, the G30 has six leaders within the central banking community and several others who became members while they were central bankers.  Thirty-four of G30's members formerly held senior positions in central banking of which 28 served as central bankers while a G30 member.

Mark Carney is one of G30's current members as shown here:

...and here:

3.) Bank for International Settlements (BIS) - BIS is known as the central bank of central banks.  Its mission is to "support central banks' pursuit of monetary and financial satiety through international cooperation and to act as a bank for  central banks."

While Mark Carney is not currently a member of BIS, in the past, he has given a substantial number of speeches that are found on the organization's website as shown here:

He also served as Chairman of the Bank for International Settlements Committee on the Global Financial System (CGFS) from July 2010 to January 2012 as shown here:

4.) The Council for Inclusive Capitalism with the Vatican - The "Council" is "a historic new partnership between some of the world's largest investment and business leaders and the Vatican, launched today. It signifies the urgency of joining moral and market imperatives to reform capitalism into a powerful force for the good of humanity. Under the moral guidance of His Holiness Pope Francis and His Eminence Cardinal Peter Turkson, who leads the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development at the Vatican, and inspired by the moral imperative of all faiths, the Council invites companies of all sizes to harness the potential of the private sector to build a fairer, more inclusive, and sustainable economic foundation for the world.".  The Council is led by a core group of global leaders who are known as "Guardians for Inclusive Capitalism". They meet annually with Pope Francis and Cardinal Turkson.  Mark Carney is one of the "Guardians/Stewards" or Council Members as shown here:

...and here:

...and here from the original announcement of the formation of the Council where he is part of the group then called "Guardians":

Now, let's look at four additional bonus Carney connections:

5.) Brookfield Asset Management - Brookfield Asset management is, in their words:

"...a leading global alternative asset manager with over $600 billion of assets under management across real estate, infrastructure, renewable power, private equity and credit. Our objective is to generate attractive long-term risk-adjusted returns for the benefit of our clients and shareholders.

We manage a range of public and private investment products and services for institutional and retail clients. We earn asset management income for doing so and align our interests with our clients by investing alongside them. We have an exceptionally strong balance sheet, with approximately $59 billion of capital invested, primarily in our listed affiliates: Brookfield Property Partners, Brookfield Infrastructure Partners, Brookfield Renewable Partners and Brookfield Business Partners. This access to large-scale capital enables us to make investments in sizeable, premier assets and businesses across geographies and asset classes that few managers are able to do."

Mark Carney is one of Brookfield's directors as shown here:

Given Carney's position as the United Nation's climate change czar, it is interesting to note that Brookfield has significant investments in hydrocarbon businesses as shown here:

...and here:

While Brookfield has pledged to support the goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, there is absolutely no guarantee that this target will be met.  The company also has significant greenhouse gas emissions from business air travel which have grown substantially on both a year-over-year basis between 2022 and 2023 and since the 2019 base year as shown here:

6.) Stripe - Carney is a member of the board for Stripe, a global digital payments company building infrastructure for the internet as shown here:

Given Carney's penchant for Central Bank Digital Currencies, this directorship really shouldn't surprise anyone since Stripe's mission is "to increase the GDP of the internet".

7.) Carney is the Chair of the Advisory Board for Canada 2020, a "leading, independent, progressive think tank" founded in 2020 as shown here:

8.) While he is not part of the organization's "management team", in June 2024, Carney was a featured speaker at the Century Initiative's "Building for Growth - Housing and infrastructure for an expanding nation" event:

The Century Initiative proposes that Canada needs to have a population of 100 million people by 2100:

....despite the fact that Canadians are already suffering from shortages of housing that is severely unaffordable thanks to a broken immigration system under the Trudeau government that has seen Canada's population surge over the past four years and a health care system that is on life support.  Obviously, Mr. Carney's appearance at one of their events suggests that he believes in this vision of Canada.

I would have to imagine that there is significant air travel and resulting greenhouse gas emissions associated with all of Mr. Carney's commitments to the leadership of these organizations and corporations.  One would not be far from wrong if they thought that this was yet another example of "rules for thee but not for me" when it comes to the globalist ecosystem.

From these two postings on Mark Carney, I hope that you have learned quite a bit about one of the members global ruling class.  Canadians must ask themselves whether this slick globalist bankster is actually interested in improving their lives or even has a basic understanding of what it is like to be a Canadian today given that he has spent substantial time overseas over the past decade and a half.    With his position as climate czar for the United Nations, his links to some of the world's most influential NGOs as well, his links to the world's central banking system, we can be certain that his agenda will see the light of day if the global technocracy gets their way.

With Carney's penchant for central banking and the environment, it is my proposition that, under a Prime Minister Carney, Canadians could well find themselves as the advanced economy's lab rats for programmable central bank digital currencies linked to their carbon footprint.

The World Economic Forum and What Worries the Global Ruling Class?

In an recent opinion piece on the World Economic Forum, author Maya Hossain Aziz, a Professor of International Relations at New York University examines four global risks in the post-pandemic era that are keeping the oligarchy awake at night:

Based on a multi-year prediction project at New York Univeristy and experts at Wikistrat, the author outlines four trends that the serf class should be concerning themselves about over the remainder of this decade:

1.) Power disperses in a post-superpower era - this is something that the World Economic Forum has been harping about for years as quoted from the 2020 Special Report "Shaping a Multiconceptual World":

"The technological advances and an economic rebalancing under way are causing the world to enter a new phase – one where the non-Western powers, as well as some non-state actors, see low-cost and relatively low-risk opportunities to weaken the United States and the Western alliance.

One area where this danger is pronounced is in East Asia. As China’s growth has vaulted it into the top ranks of global economic power, it has progressively shed its strategy of “hide and bide” and begun to exert itself in political and strategic affairs, in its region and beyond. The economic and export prowess of China is intrinsically challenging the dominance of the Western model in international affairs. Again, some of this is productive: China’s surge into Africa in the 1990s, in search of food, mineral and energy resources to power its growth, helped to pull more than a dozen African nations into middle-income status. But with global economic reach comes global interests and the temptation to project global power; now China has moved into a new phase of expansion – into a global network of ports, technology plays and infrastructure assets that in some theatres seem purposefully designed to challenge the West."

The author notes that "....Since the pandemic eased, the reality is we haven’t had enduring global leadership on much, and it’s hard to imagine that changing soon. This is partly because superpowers are terribly burdened with global wars and domestic challenges."  He also states that "...These powers will, of course, still be relevant, compete and attempt to 'lead' everywhere from space to AI and oil. But look for other actors to step up more to fill the leadership void, including 'geopolitical swing states' leveraging rare earth minerals (like Ghana) to reduce the dominance of superpowers; smaller states (e.g. Scotland) using climate funding as a foreign policy tool; the Global South moving away from trading in the US dollar, even attempting a new blockchain payment system."

2.) The impact of a big election year in 2024 - The author observes that this election year is particularly vulnerable to AI disinformation, cyber threats and accusations of electoral rigging.  Here's a quote:

"Yet, the larger issue is whether these elections will even make a tangible difference in local and global change; widespread government distrust in most political systems has not abated in our post-pandemic era. Let’s not forget democracy—declared the sole surviving source of political legitimacy by the US hegemon at the end of the Cold War—has been in decline globally for 18 consecutive years, according to Freedom House.

Anti-government unrest has recurred everywhere since the Arab Spring, representing an enduring global crisis of political legitimacy."

3.) A more complex global mental health crisis - this crisis is related to anxiety over climate change (eco-anxiety) created by governments that are failing to transition away from fossil fuels.  I hate to tell the braintrust at the WEF but most people, particularly in the West and among the world's most poor give very little thought to climate change as they struggle for food and affordable housing.

One mental health issue that the author raises that I do believe has merit is anxiety over the imposition of artificial intelligence on the world which is creating an underclass of those individuals who are being left behind as their jobs disappear and are replaced by computers.

4.) Shock events - there are three shock events that may impact a fragile global reality:

a.) emergence of a new global extremist group thanks to the decline of global leadership and multiple wars.

b.) an intentional cyber pandemic implemented by a bad actor or actors.

c.) climate change claims its first island nation in the post-pandemic era - Here's a quote:

"COP28 plan to phase out fossil fuels may take decades and it’s unclear if world leaders will follow through. What’s more probable is that in the meantime certain island nations (who emit only 0.3% of global emissions) will keep fighting their cause, whether it is through international law or new climate funds. But, if these islands do succumb to climate change, sinking a lot faster than we expect, how will climate activists and world leaders react?"

Again, my personal belief is that most people are paying only marginal attention to the global climate change "crisis" in light of the existential struggle for survival (i.e. paying their rent or mortgage and buying food an economic environment that has experienced significant inflation since the pandemic) in what is likely to be a looming economic crisis thanks to the massive and unsustainable levels of personal and government debt.

While these issues may be causing angst among the ruling class, the proletariat are distracted with the "shiny mirrors and baubles" of social media and are being led to believe by the Western mainstream media that all is well in society as long as the neoliberal agenda continues to be the choice of the electorate.  Most of us really don't care what issues are worrying the global ruling class whose agenda is being communicated by the likes of the World Economic Forum but it is interesting to see where their mindset takes them.

Chrystia Freeland and the 2024 World Economic Forum Meeting in Davos - A Conflict of Interest?

Canada has the dubious privilege of having a Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister who serves Klaus Schwab as a member of the Board of Trustees of the World Economic Forum.  As such, Chrystia Freeland's attendance at the annual WEF meeting held in Davos, Switzerland is a rather questionable adventure given that she has the option of attending the meeting as a representative of the voters of Canada or as a representative of Klaus Schwab or both.  This has become a sticking point for the federal Conservatives, particularly MP Leslyn Lewis who has repeatedly brought up the subject in Canada's House of Commons.

Here is an exchange between Ms. Lewis and Ms. Freeland as recorded in Hansard, the official written record of the proceedings of the House of Commons for Wednesday June 19, 2024:

Ms. Leslyn Lewis:

"With regard to Canada’s participation in the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, from January 15 to 19, 2024: (a) how many individuals were part of Canada’s delegation; (b) who were the members of the delegation, including, for each, their (i) name, (ii) title, (iii) role; (c) what are the details of all meetings held in Davos involving the Deputy Prime Minister, including, for each, the (i) date, (ii) names and titles of the attendees, (iii) purpose of the meeting, (iv) agenda items, (v) summary of what occurred at the meeting, including any agreements made; (d) what are the details of all meetings held in Davos involving members of the Canadian delegation other than the Deputy Prime Minister, including, for each, the (i) date, (ii) names and titles of the attendees, (iii) purpose of the meeting, (iv) agenda items, (v) summary of what occurred at the meeting, including anything that was agreed to; (e) what are the details, including the summary of terms, of any agreements entered into during the forum; (f) what are the details of all follow-up action taken by the government as a result of what happened at the forum; (g) what are the details of all memoranda or briefing notes prepared to support Canada’s delegation to the forum, including, for each, the (i) date, (ii) sender, (iii) recipient, (iv) title, (v) subject matter, (vi) summary of contents, (vii) file number; and (h) what was the total cost to the taxpayer, broken down by category of expense?"

Hon. Chrystia Freeland (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Lib.):

"Mr. Speaker, the Department of Finance response to parts (a) through (h) is as follows:

The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting was held in Davos, Switzerland, from January 15 to 19, 2024. As the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, I attended from January 16 to January 19, 2024, to advance Canadian economic interests.

"I held meetings with business leaders and other participants, including members of the Ukrainian delegation; a variety of business leaders about opportunities for Canada; and foreign government leaders and elected representatives.

I also participated in a panel entitled “No Recovery without Trade and Investment". Participants included Brian Moynihan, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of America; Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization; and Valdis Dombrovskis, European Commissioner for Trade.

Regarding the Department of Finance response to part (h): please note that travel expenditures for senior level departmental officers or employees, Ministers, ministerial advisors and ministerial staff are proactively disclosed on Open.Canada.ca (https://search.open.canada.ca/travel/)."

You will notice that Ms. Freeland was particularly reluctant to provide any details about the contingent that accompanied her to the 2024 edition of the Davos meeting nor did she provide any of her memoranda or briefing notes used during the meeting.  One thing that we do know is that the trip cost Canadian taxpayers significant tax dollars as shown here:

This is not the first time that Freeland has availed herself of Canadians' tax dollars for her junkets to Davos.

While she claims that she represented Canada at Davos 2024, we have no way of knowing how much time she spent on her duties as a World Economic Forum representative.  At the very least and as I have pointed out in the past, the World Economic Forum is quite capable of financing the travel expenses of its Trustees as shown on this screen capture from its 2022 - 2023 Annual Report which you can find here:

With total revenue of US$457.6 million and assets of US$840.4 million effective June 30, 2023, one would think that Ms. Freeland would avail herself funding provided by her "globalist masters" rather than stiffing Canadian taxpayers for $12,170.73 when travelling to the annual Davos extravaganza.

But, then again, this is what happens when you put yourself into a situation where there is clearly a conflict of interest.

The World Economic Forum, the Fear of Artificial Intelligence in the Workplace and Your Unnecessary Existence

Over the past five years, the global public has become increasingly aware of the World Economic Forum, a collection of global elites who believe that they have the solution to every problem that ails humanity.  With the growth in the importance of artificial intelligence (AI), it's not surprising that the WEF weighs in on this global phenomenon.

In this posting:

...the WEF makes the following observations (with my bolds throughout):

1.) Emerging technologies including AI will disrupt jobs and employees’ skills in the coming years.

2.) Around a fifth of workers in the US say they fear AI will make them obsolete, a phenomenon dubbed “FOBO” (fear of obsolescence).

3.) The World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs report finds that some roles will never be replaced and that AI will lead to job growth in some areas, while upskilling will be key.

The author of the piece, Kate Whiting, Senior Writer for the WEF, then goes on to provide us with the following:

"Imagine waking up one day and finding your job has been automated overnight by intelligent machines. Then you discover even the career you dreamed of pursuing next has already been mastered by AI.

Quickly, more and more human domains once thought impossible to replicate – art, music, emotion – fall prey to advancing algorithms until all uniquely human talent and purpose dwindles in the face of superior robotic counterparts. Soon your very existence becomes trivial … unnecessary."

It would appear that if anyone should be experiencing FOBO, it's Ms. Whiting because she goes on to inform us that the preceding paragraphs were written by AI.

Here is a graphic from Gallup that shows us the growing percentage of American workers that are concerned about becoming obsolete because of technological advancements:

Gallup and the WEF also note that certain demographics are more concerned about a technological takeover than others:

The author goes on to state the following:

"Is FOBO justified? It largely depends on the profession you’re in as to how many tasks can be automated, but humans will always need to be kept in the loop to some extent – with their work augmented by AI.

Routine and repetitive tasks are the ones AI is most likely to automate, according to the World Economic Forum’s Jobs of Tomorrow whitepaper, whereas critical thinking and complex problem-solving could be augmented by the technology.

Only 16.1% of an HR manager’s job, for example, shows potential for automation and 22.2% for augmentation, according to the report.

But there are some roles AI will never be able to replace, and in fact, careers in agriculture, education and supply chain and logistics will likely see growth."

I'm not sure about your personal work experience but during my career, I found human resource departments to be an essentially useless appendage with many companies that I worked for totally abandoning the use of HR personnel.

Being the provider of solutions to all problems facing humanity, the WEF provides a solution to the problem of becoming obsolete:

"In the next five years, employees estimate that 44% of workers’ skills will be disrupted, meaning upskilling and life-long learning are now more essential, says the Future of Jobs Report 2023.

The skills most in demand are those that AI can’t replace, including analytical thinking, empathy and active listening, and leadership and social influence.

AI will also create new fields of work, with growing opportunities for: “trainers”, “explainers” and “sustainers”, the Forum’s white paper, Jobs of Tomorrow: Large Language Models and Jobs, found."

Here two summary graphics from the aforementioned WEF white paper on the jobs of tomorrow showing which jobs have the highest potential for large language automation and augmentation:

In an "Editor's Picks" from its website, the WEF makes the following observations about the fear of becoming obsolete in the age of AI:

"As generative AI rapidly evolves, a new fear grips the workforce: FOBO, the Fear of Becoming Obsolete. A recent Gallup survey reveals a 7-point increase since 2021 in US workers who believe new technologies threaten their jobs, reflecting a growing sense of anxiety about AI's impact on the job market. Experts predict that 44% of skills will be disrupted within the next five years, further fueling these concerns.

AI brings opportunities amidst the disruption

However, the rise of AI presents a double-edged sword. While some fear job losses, 50% of organizations anticipate AI-driven job growth. Companies are rapidly adopting generative AI, with specialists in AI and Machine Learning topping the list of fast-growing professions. This suggests that workers can leverage the situation by upskilling themselves in AI.

Human skills remain key

Despite the AI wave, human faculties hold their ground. AI fluency ranks only third on the list of desirable skills by 2027, trailing behind analytical and creative thinking. This underscores the enduring value of uniquely human capabilities, even in an increasingly automated world.

Cautious optimism among workers

Despite the anxieties surrounding FOBO, the overall sentiment towards AI remains positive, as revealed by a global study by PwC. While some express concerns, a third believe it will enhance their productivity and efficiency by freeing them from routine tasks and allowing them to focus on developing more complex and marketable skills."

So, the global ruling class's solution to becoming obsolete is for workers to "upskill".  Is a college graduate worker in their fifties really going to have the ability or desire to upskill when the potential for retirement is only ten to fifteen years away?  Is a worker who didn't graduate from high school going to have the capability or financial resources to upskill in artificial intelligence technology?

Welcome to the WEF's AI-based dystopian future which the global elite claim is the "steam engine of the Fourth Industrial Revolution" as shown here:

You'll do nothing, own nothing and be happy.  Just put up, shut up and eat your insects.
