Ronald Reagan and Fair Share Taxation

In light of Mr. Romney's comments on the nearly half of Americans who don't pay taxes and who will be voting for the incumbent President, here are excerpts from a speech from President Ronald Reagan back in 1985, keeping in mind that, while not wealthy by Romney standards, Reagan's net worth of $13 million put him well in the one percent:

A quote:

"...no one is manipulating the system to their advantage because they are rich and powerful....after all, we're all citizens, equal in the eyes of the law and equal in the eyes of God..."

Unless, of course, you're Mr. Romney and his 15 percent tax rate on total income of $21.6 million in 2010.
